Weddings

Edinburgh Castle rises up above the city to give Scotland’s capital its fairytale skyline and grant you and your wedding guests out-of-this-world views. It’s an unforgettable setting for one of life’s most momentous occasions.

You can hold your big day at Edinburgh Castle whether you’re planning a no-expenses-spared celebration or a simpler, more relaxed affair. Gather up to 120 guests in one of our grander rooms, or say ‘I do’ in the tiny chapel that is Edinburgh’s oldest building. Each venue has sweeping vistas beyond its door.

We can host both your ceremony and reception, so you can spend more precious time with your loved ones. You can even arrange a private viewing of Britain’s oldest Crown jewels for guests. Round off an incredible day with fine food and dancing in the footsteps of royalty.

Hewn out of the natural rock, Edinburgh Castle has withstood misfortune and seen great joy and celebration. Few places embody longevity, strength and commitment like Scotland’s ‘defender of the nation’.

Book your wedding with us and add your story to this rich tradition.

Weddings cannot be held at Edinburgh Castle from 1 June to 30 September.
