Afternoon Tea Experience

During the festive period our Afternoon Tea Experience will have a festive twist! Our Christmas themed afternoon tea is the perfect way to kick start your festive celebrations and it makes a great gift for friends and family.

Sittings at 11am, 11.30am, 12 noon, 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.30pm, 2pm and 2.30pm, on the following dates: 

• 2-24 December 
• 27-31 December 
• 1-5 January

All of our afternoon tea packages include admission to the castle. For that added special treat there's the option to add a glass of Prosecco or an Edinburgh Castle Gin. 

Please note, alcohol cannot be served before 1pm on a Sunday. 

• Adult (non-member) £54 or £60 with Edinburgh Castle Gin or Prosecco. Child £24.50
• Member Adult £35.00 or £40.50 with Edinburgh Castle Gin or Prosecco. Child £17.50

Already purchased a guided tour or castle tickets? You can add on an afternoon tea experience by emailing ticketing@hes.scot, and we will reserve your place. Please note we require at least 48 hours’ notice.

• Amuse-Bouche: Fresh melon with cucumber gel and micro mint
• Bruschetta with Scottish Buffalo Mozzarella, green pesto and balsamic glaze
• Cranley Farm coronation chicken finger with a cucumber ribbon
• Linlithgow smoked beetroot salmon Gravlax with avocado on dark rye loaf
• Borders free range egg mayonnaise brioche with spinach and sundried tomatoes
• Black Crowdie and leek quiche topped with Katy Rogers Cream
• Sticky toffee slice with homemade caramel sauce and fresh raspberries
• Banoffee Pie Chantilly cream and Dark chocolate shavings
• Orange macaron with white chocolate ganache and cranachan butter cream
• Scottish Strawberry tart with vanilla and milk chocolate pastry
• Freshly baked buttermilk fruit and plain scones Galloway Lodge Preserves strawberry Jam and clotted cream
• Any pot of tea or coffee from our menu

A gift voucher is a fabulous present at any time of year, why not treat a loved one to a luxurious afternoon tea. 

Each Afternoon Tea stand includes a selection of freshly made sandwiches, homemade cakes and scones and a selection of teas. Option to include a glass of Prosecco or Edinburgh Castle Gin.

Castle admission and afternoon tea must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance. To book please email ticketing@hes.scot or call +44 (0)131 668 8831 (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm), quoting your gift voucher number. You will then receive your Edinburgh Castle admission and Afternoon tea tickets. 

Vouchers are valid for six months from the date of purchase.
